Outfit packs vs full character swaps
Outfit packs are delivered as drag-and-drop component files (top, jacket, jeans, shoes) that integrate into the game's existing wardrobe - fastest to implement, simplest to combine. Full character swaps overwrite a protagonist's model completely with a new one, skeleton and animations included. These require extra rigging information and can cause canned cutscenes to break if the new skeleton doesn't match the original.
Pedestrian rosters
Pedestrian roster mods swap out the default ambient NPCs for film character cameos, fictitious crews or stylised civilian alternates. They're a common way to spruce up screenshots and machinima. Always give credit to the original modellers when redistributing their skins, and never use copyrighted likenesses on monetised RP servers or you'll soon be receiving takedown notices.

1How do I install GTA 6 outfit mods?
Install the outfit's component files into your mods folder and they will be recognised by the game's component system. Most outfit packs come with one archive that contains everything already sorted. Your new outfit will be available in your wardrobe at any safehouse.
2Can I replace Lucia or Jason completely?
Yes - complete character replacements swap out the whole model and rig. Apply the main character replacement first, then apply an accompanying face morph if there is one included with the mod. You may experience some odd cutscene behaviour if the replacement rig does not match the original skeleton.
3Do player mods work in multiplayer?
No. Skin and player mods only work in single-player - if you attempt to use any player model swap mod in official online, your model will appear as the default model to other players, and the mod will trigger the anti-cheat system. Play unmodded online sessions and modded story mode separately.
